Description
The ship, jointly operated by the Administration des Terres australes et antarctiques françaises (TAAF), the French Polar Institute (IPEV), and the French Navy, provides logistical support to scientific stations in the Antarctic Ocean. It participates in sovereignty and patrol missions in the exclusive economic zones (EEZ) of the French southern territories.
