The Québec-based SME has developed an engine system that allows ships to consume less fuel thanks to “intelligent energy management,” she points out in her article.
“In the past, the structure of ships was purely diesel-mechanical; it involved huge engines to move the ships, and they were designed for the worst circumstances,” explains Christian Nadeau, director of innovation, research and development during the interview. Today, we’re guiding our customers to choose a design that moves toward electric propulsion and can provide diverse energy.”
